SEGi University & Colleges brings together four inspiring national youth leaders for the very first time in a panel discussion at SEGi University Malaysia Integrity Forum on 13th October 2016.

These four social influencers named Deborah Henry, Co-Founder of Fugee School; Ng Yeen Seen, 2016 World Economic Forum (WEF) Young Global Leader (YGL); Rizmel Nazrin, Special Officer to the Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs and the Co-Founding Principal of Nation Building School, Zaim Mohzani spoke out on matters that strikes the nation to its core values. Topics related to crime, integrity, honesty and trust were highlighted as major issues in Malaysia’s socio and economic development. This was further illustrated as panellist speakers shared valuable engaging insights, wide professional perspectives, as well as their own personal experiences.

Ng Yeen Seen hopes that today’s youth will be provided with better education and be honest from the get-go when joining the workforce and in all business undertakings. “Taking short cuts and cheating is not the way to go. Perhaps the first time round you may be lucky and get away with it. However, you will be caught eventually and end up in a downward spiral with the possibility of bankruptcy. Clients are smart, so don’t ever underestimate them.” Similarly, Deborah Henry also pointed out that generation-Y should practise good ethics and governance, even in the most challenging situations because “Integrity means taking pride in who you are, what you do and resisting temptations”.

This live discussion is to enlighten the future generation and help groom leadership qualities in preparation for the real working world. SEGi students benefitted from the forum by sharpening their critical thinking skills and gain knowledge of our government’s legal system, policy making and human rights. “Best in you, Made Possible is a not just a motto. Its’ a mantra that we live by when we think of our students and the community”, said Datuk Azahari Mohamed Kamil, Group President and Executive Director of SEGi University & Colleges. There will be more of such events and he urges active participation from young minds as it enables them to explore their fullest potential and create positive impact in their surroundings.

As tokens of appreciation, SEGi University & Colleges gifted each speaker with free medical check-up and consultation for their respective supporting non-profit organizations at the end of the forum.
